A Empty Page

By Rebekah Perkins

This paper on which I write,
Could hold words cheerful and bright,
Shall I will tell it a few of my dreams?
Like, riding with dragons, and other silly things?
Maybe I'll fill it with what's in my head,
Words that I think should be said,
Perhaps with tales of dances and balls,
Or how the bird sings as a leaf falls,
My hopes and dreams for the future?
Or maybe my analysis of today's culture.
Well, whatever this page has on it,
You can know that I'm the culprit.
