The Fire

There is a fire deep within me,

It burns through day and night,

And no matter where I be,

It makes me want to write.

It's like the ever rocking sea,

Never stopping she will go,

Words just pore out of me,

An ever moving flow.

The wind how restless it can be,

Never ceasing she will blow,

This is how it is inside me,

The fire always will glow.

Like the always rushing river,

Always gliding swiftly by,

Inside I will never shiver,

This fire will never die.
